Steeda Ultimate Power Pack + Extra's
Introduction
The first modification aimed at reliability and increase of power. Considering the fact that improvement is the sum of multiple individual components, I chose to install the Steeda GT500 Ultimate Power Pack. This is a well balanced package thast claims a maximum of 144hp increase over stock. Theoretically this results in 506 + 144 = 650hp. Since I don't focus on numbers, this doesn't mean that much to me and at the same time, I know this is a marketing statement.
The Steeda pack consists of:
- 2.7 inch pulley
- 3-pass Heat Exchanger with two fans
- 114mm Cold Air Intake
- Custom tuning (with SCT X4 Tuner)
To prevent heat-soaking, a second heat exchanger was installed in addition to the Steeda triple-pass heat exchanger. This should keep the IAT2 as low as possible.
To handle increased power, the stock 2-piece drive shaft was replaced by a 1-piece carbon fiber shaft from DSS.
At last, a fresh set of NGK TR6 sparks plugs was installed and the stock plastic coolant tanks were replaced by aluminum Moroso reservoirs. The main circuit reservoir cap was re-used.
